This is a success story of the person,looking forward to a cashless India, whose dream is to bring half a billion Indians to the mainstream economy and to build India’s first $100 Bn firm, a company that would make the nation proud.Yes,this a story of the inspiring journey of Paytm Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma.From being a small-town boy from Aligarh who bought second-hand tech magazines to the founder of one of India’s most trusted technology brands, Vijay Shekhar Sharma has come a long way.VIJAY SHEKHAR is the man who has began College at 15, Has Billion-Dollar Firm at 37.In five years, Vijay Shekhar Sharma has converted a start-up (albeit a well-funded one) into a billion-dollar company, Paytm. He has also just spent over Rs. 200 crores for the title sponsorship of the Indian cricket team.

“I had days when I didn’t have money for dinner. Let’s say having two cups of tea was a perk for me. I couldn’t take the bus so I walked to save Rs. 10″ these are the words of Vijay during one interview.He spent his childhood in Aligarh, then enrolled at the Delhi College of Engineering, when he was just 15.In 1997, while in college, he started the website indiasite.net, and sold it two years later for $1 million. But pretty much everything was lost in translation. He neither spoke English nor understood it. He narrates about his inner voice during his struggling time,”There was no way I could have gone. I remember the IIM fee was Rs. 2,30,000! So this was the underdog movement for me, I said, ‘one day I will be worth enough to hire these people'”.

In 2000 he started one97 Communications which offers mobile content including news, cricket scores, ringtones, jokes and exam results. One97 is the parent company of Paytm, which was launched in 2010.In December 2015, Sharma criticised Facebook’s free basics initiative in India, as being against the principle of net neutrality.In 2017, Sharma appeared in Forbes’ World Billionaire’s List, the youngest Indian on the list.

Sometime when he have not enough money the Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, he have two cup of tea as dinner to spend the rest of the night.As on today,Vijay Shekhar Sharma (born 1978) is well known as an Indian billionaire businessman and the founder of mobile payments company Paytm.Sharma was ranked as India’s youngest billionaire in 2017 by the Forbes with a net worth of $2.1 billion.Now Vijay Shekhar Sharma is so happy in his life that he says “I don’t need to sleep, I am living a dream”.
